What is going to be new for 2018 – year model? For example, Apple CarPlay feature was optional with 2017-year model, while it is going to be standard for all trim levels. This feature offers better connectivity and control of phone, music, texts, navigation and other applications available through iPhone. Zero Gravity front seats area standard and its softness is noticeable thanks to a 3-layer foam. There are three materials available for upholstery: premium cloth as standard, while there are also high quality leather and Ascot premium leather-appointed seats. Depending on chosen trim there are available some additional features: leather steering wheel, heating and climate control for seats.
When it comes to technology, there is NissanConnect infotainment system with Navigation. For the 2018 Nissan Maxima models Apple CarPlay connectivity is standard through all model lineup. 2018 Maxima specs
Heart of the new 2018 Maxima is the same engine that we can see in the 2017-year model. This is a 3.5-liter V6 engine, from VQ-series, that delivers 300 horsepower and 261 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes mated to an Xtronic automatic transmission. Thanks to wide gear ratio range, this gearbox offers excellent acceleration numbers. Fuel economy is in average range of its class, 21 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway.

There are two drive modes available, Sport and Normal. With Drive Mode Selector, depending on chosen mode, it adjusts transmission tuning, throttle response and for better feel of driving, Active Sound Enhancement tuning. According to some information that we can find in the media, release date of the new Nissan Maxima 2018 should be in November 2017. It is going to build in Nissan factory in Tennessee.
