The 2019 Hyundai Tucson will come in summer of 2018 with small changes. Since it is going to be mostly a carryover it will come with same price range and with the same exterior colors available.
The Hyundai’s compact crossover SUV was updated with 2016-year model and since then it used to get only small updates. There was some changes in trim lineups and changes inside the cabin. This is going to happen to the new Hyundai Tucson 2019 also. Since big updates happens in every 4 – 5 years, we expect that the next big update Tucson will receive with 2020 year model. Its main competitors usually are Ford Escape, Subaru Forester, Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V and Mazda CX-5
No big redesign for 2019 Hyundai Tucson
There will be no big redesign changes on exterior of the 2019 Hyundai Tucson. Since big update with 2017 year model it is going to keep its exterior design until next big update. That means that it will keep design clues borrowed from the larger Santa Fe. Front fascia will feature the big six-sided grille with prefect fitted headlights. Base models runs on the 18-inch wheels while higher trims come with 19-inch alloy wheels for a more impressive look.
Front fascia will be equipped with LED twin-projector headlights and LED Daytime Running Lights. This kind of crossover SUV is also available with LED door handle approach lights. LED technology is also applied on the rear taillights. Rear spoiler is standard and also twin bevel-cut chrome exhaust tips which enhance sporty look from the rear. There are eight exterior colors that will come with the new Hyundai Tucson 2019: Black Noir Pearl, Caribbean Blue, Coliseum Gray, Dazzling White, Mojave Sand, Molten Silver, Ruby Wine and Sedona Sunset.

Inside the cabin, interior will be wrapped with high quality materials. There are plenty room of for the rear seat passengers. Cargo area is smaller compared to competition but there is an availability to lower cargo floor for easier loading of heavy objects. It is going to be available in six trim levels: SE, Eco, Sport and Limited. There are also couple packages available, so we also have SEL, SEL Plus and Night packages to choose from.
Final design of the center dashboard and its layout depends on chosen trim level. The top Limited trim comes with leather upholstery and with soft – touch materials for dash. On the center stack is placed the 8.0-inch color touchscreen display, while other Tucsons are available “only” with a 5.0- and 7.0-inch screens. It features accessibility for smartphones, which means that it has integrated Android Auto and Apple CarPlay applications. Rearview camera is standard for all models, but navigation system is also available but only optional for some models. In those models Pandora Internet Radio and Yelp are already integrated into infotainment system.
In order to receive a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS some Tucson models come equipped with Autonomus Emergency Braking (AEB). This system combines radar and camera data in order to activate brakes when it detects dangerous, sudden braking by the car ahead. AEB also includes pedestrian detection system. Beside this 2019 Hyundai Tucson also includes Lane Departure Warning System, Rear Cross-traffic Alert, Blind Spot Detection, Lane Change Assist and Backup Warning Sensors.
There is a Hyundai Blue Link system that improves safety, service and infotainment telematics. This system comes in three service packages. First one is Connected Care, Remote and Guidance package.

Base engine for the new Hyundai Tucson 2019 is naturally aspirated inline-4 with 2.0 liters of displacement. It delivers 164 horsepower and 151 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes paired with 6-speed automatic transmission with fuel economy rated at 26 mpg of combined drive. Second engine is 1.6-liter turbocharged inline-4 with 175 horses and 195 lb-ft of torque. It is available only with 7-speed EcoShift dual clutch transmission with Shiftronic manual shift mode. All models are available with either FWD or AWD drivetrain system. Compared to base engine, fuel economy of the turbo engine is a bit higher, and it is rated at 27 mpg of combine drive for FWD drivetrain. When it comes to AWD this difference is higher – 23 mpg for 2.0L and 26 mpg for 1.6L engine.

2019 Hyundai Tucson release date and price
Release date of the new Hyundai Tucson 2019 will be in first half of 2018, because we expect that refreshed model will be announced in middle of next year. Since this is going to be a carryover, price range should remain the same. That means that the base SE model should come with price tag about $24,000. The top, Limited, model will be available with the price of $35,000. Compared to competition, the cost of the 2019 Hyundai Tucson is in range of Escape, but more acceptable than CRV, RAV4 or Nissan’s Rogue.
